John attended the University of London, Queen Mary College; University of Oxford, St Edmund Hall and University of Kent, Eliot College. He taught on postgraduate diplomas for the Chartered Institute of Bankers, now the IFS. John has taught undergraduates at University of Surrey and ifs University College. John is an economist with controversial views that have found him taking opposite positions to conventional views. He has argued with the Bank of England under Chatham House Rules so "mums the word" John would like to finish his career having had perhaps just a small influence on promoting limited government, a return to the principles of free market capitalism, exposing the fundamental flaws in Keynesian economics and enlightening others of the wisdom in monetarism.
