He is also a founder and past Master of the City of London-based livery company, the Worshipful Company of Management Consultants.
Calvert was a visiting professor in the practice of management consultancy at Bayes Business School and had teaching engagements at other business schools, in the past including Imperial, Kingston, Durham, the Grenoble Graduate School of Business, and Leeds.
