Dr. Yoshiyuki Asai Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology (OIST), Japan

Yoshiyuki Asai is a group leader at Open Biology Unit in Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology, Okinawa, Japan since 2010. He received his PhD degree in 2003 from Graduate School of Engineering Science at Osaka University. For his postdoctoral researches, he had a position in Osaka University, and visited ISI Foundation in Torino, Italy and Lausanne University, Switzerland. Then he became a research scientist in National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology, Japan in 2005. In 2007, he started to work as a specially appointed associate professor in Osaka University till 2010.
