Prof. Laura Gonzalez Fordham University, USA

Professor Gonzalez's research focuses on financial institutions, corporate finance and entrepreneurship. Her research has been presented at the Federal Reserve Board in Washington D.C., the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, in addition to other national and international... read moreinstitutions and conferences in Europe, Asia and the Americas. Professor Gonzalez has been a visiting scholar at New York University's Stern School of Business finance department. She has been published in the Journal of Financial Economics and has served extensively as an ad-hoc journal reviewer, Harvard case and Columbia University Press book reviewer. Dr. Gonzalez has industry experience in both finance and engineering, and is frequently interviewed and quoted in print and broadcast media in the United States and abroad. She joined the Fordham faculty after completing her Ph.D. in finance at University of Florida. Previously, Prof. Gonzalez simultaneously earned an M.B.A. in finance and an M.A. in foreign languages and literatures — English, French and Spanish in the United Sates, and previously, also simultaneously, a B.S. in electrical engineering and B.A.s in piano music performance and education.
