Julian Chang is Associate Dean at the Schwarzman Scholars Program, Tsinghua University, a new program to bring together future leaders from China, the United States and other regions in the interest of creating mutual understanding and enhanced global cooperation. Dean Chang earned a BA from Yale and a PhD from Harvard, both in Political Science. His academic focus is on globalization and governance, especially regarding Chinese outbound investment. He is founding President of the Chinese Globalization Association (http://www.chinagoesglobal.org) that supports research on the multiple natures and dynamics of the outbound activity of Chinese enterprises – large and small, state and private. He has also consulted with international companies through the Cambridge China Group and X-RG, a Hong Kong consultancy. He is a visiting professor at Xi’an Jiaotong University in China, and a frequent lecturer across China. His publications include several co-edited books and articles in Chinese and Western journals.
