Dale Hesdorffer is an Associate Professor of Epidemiology at CUMC in the Sergievsky Center at Columbia University. She serves on several editorial boards, the professional advisory board of the Epilepsy Foundation of America, the American Epilepsy Society Task Force on psychiatric aspects of epilepsy, and the American Academy of Neurology... read moreSUDEP guidelines workgroup. She was the past chair of the Commission on Epidemiology of the International League Against Epilepsy and published on SUDEP through work done in the Task Force on Mortality. She was a member of the Institute of Medicine Committee on the Public Health Dimensions of the Epilepsies and the IOM Committee on Gulf War and Health: Long-Term Consequences of Traumatic Brain Injury. She has published more than 100 articles on the epidemiology of epilepsy, including SUDEP and other mortality in epilepsy, risk factors for epilepsy, stigma in epilepsy and incidence and prevalence.
