Dr. Stephen Brown SRSF, Biomedical Sciences, University of Sheffield, UK

Stephen Brown is manager of RNAi screening at the University of Sheffield's SRSF, a national UK Drosophila RNAi screening facility. He received his undergraduate degree at the University of Nottingham and continued his studies working towards a PhD investigating co-suppression in plants, later to be identified as RNAi silencing in... read moreanimals. His Post-Doctoral studies were in the Departments of Zoology and Pathology at the University of Cambridge, investigating development and JAK/STAT signalling. He formed his own group at the University of Manchester in 2004 before moving to Sheffield in 2008. The SRSF is also a University of Sheffield core facility for Human siRNA screens.
