Mark Mortensen is an Assistant Professor of Organisational Behaviour at INSEAD. He was previously on the faculty at the MIT-Sloan School of Management and the Desautels School of Management at McGill University. Dr. Mortensen’s research explores the impact of changing forms of organizational teams - particularly global, virtual, and project-based teams - on theory and managerial practice. His research has been published in journals such as the Academy of Management Review, Organization Science, Management Science, and the Journal of Organizational Behavior as well as numerous book chapters and popular press articles. Dr. Mortensen’s research has received awards including: 2004 William H. Newman award, 2004 OB Division Best Dissertation-Based Paper award, and 2001 Runner-up OCIS Division Best Paper award. He currently serves on the editorial board of Organization Science and Academy of Management Journal and previously served on the board of INGRoup and the board of the OCIS division of the Academy of Management.
