Brian Leonard is the Emeritus Professor of Pharmacology at the National University of Ireland, Galway, where he was the head of the Pharmacology Department for 25 years. His main research interests are in psychoimmunology, animal models of psychiatric disorders and in the mode of action of antidepressants. He is the author of 4 textbooks on aspects of psychopharmacology and has published over 400 papers in international journals.
