Jeannette Song is a professor of Operations Management at the Fuqua School of Business of Duke University. Professor Song earned a B.S. in mathematics from Beijing Normal University, a M.S. operations research from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and a Ph.D. in management science from Columbia University. She studies topics such as supply chain coordination mechanisms, global sourcing strategies, inventory and logistics system design and planning, e-commerce channel design, product variety and order fulfillment, supplier management, and supply chain sustainability. She has published numerous articles in leading academic journals such as Management Science, Manufacturing & Service Operations Management (M&SOM), and Operations Research, and has served on the editorial boards of these journals. She also co-edited the book, Supply Chain Structures: Coordination, Information and Optimization. She was a past president of the Manufacturing and Service Operations Management Society of INFORMS. She has held faculty appointments at the Universities of California (Irvine) and Columbia University, and visiting positions at the University of California at Berkeley, National University of Singapore, Hohai University (Nanjing), Shanghai Jiaotong University, and Fudan University. She has consulted for various companies and been involved in the training of managers in Asia, Europe, and North America.
