Karl Herholz is emeritus professor at the University of Manchester and honorary professor at the University of Sheffield. From 2006 to 2010 was director of the Wolfson Molecular Imaging Centre at the University of Manchester and has since continued his research there until his retirement in September 2022. He also held honorary appointments as clinical consultant with the Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust and the Nuclear Medicine Department at the Central Manchester Foundation Trust.
