Judith Black studied medicine and completed a PhD at the University of Sydney. She worked for some years as a general practitioner in Sydney and the UK before devoting herself to full time research in respiratory pharmacology, cell and molecular biology with a focus on asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease,... read morefibrotic airway disease and lymphangioleiomyomatosis. She heads a team of research assistants, students, postdocs and research fellows at the Woolcock Institute of Medical Research and is supported by the National Health and Medical Research Council as a Senior Principal Research Fellow.
