Dr. John S Carroll is Morris A Adelman Professor of Management in the MIT Sloan School of Management and Engineering Systems Division, where he is also Co-Director of the Lean Advancement Initiative. His research focuses on decision-making and learning in organizational contexts. Current projects examine organizational safety issues in high-hazard industries such as nuclear power, aerospace, and health care, including self-analysis and organizational learning, safety culture, leadership, communication, and systems thinking.
