As a postdoctoral associate Diane worked at the Yale School of Medicine with Richard W. Tsien on voltage-gated calcium ion channels. Diane's current area of research is alternative splicing of neuronal calcium ion channels. She and her research have special interest in the role of splice isoforms in the development of disease and their potential as novel therapeutic targets.
