Dr. Brandt's research interests include ischemic and vascular disorders of the gastrointestinal system, inflammatory bowel diseases, colitis, geriatric gastroenterology, AIDS, and endoscopic technique. He has been on the editorial boards of numerous journals and has authored or edited more than 350 scientific publications and six books.
