Biography

Dr Omera Khan is a Lecturer in Supply Chain Management at the University of Manchester where she has developed a core programme on logistics and supply chain management and teaches on a number of courses. Omera has gained international recognition for her research and she has conducted several research projects... read moreon the topics of supply chain risk management, impact of product design on the supply chain and the risks of global sourcing, which have been commissioned by government institutions, research councils and companies.

Omera regularly presents her work at international conferences and has published her research in leading international logistics and supply chain journals. She has a number of years of consulting experience in supply chain management and has developed recommendations on supply chain risk management. She is member of the International Supply Chain Risk Management Network (ISCRIM) with whom she is currently editor of the forthcoming (2010) ISCRIM book, the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) and the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply Management (CIPS).
