Paul Lashmar is a major figure in UK journalism and has also been a journalism lecturer at Brunel University since 2009. He is an investigative journalist and has covered many of the major stories of the last 30 years. His specialist areas include: terrorism, intelligence, spying, organized crime, business fraud and The Cold War. Paul has been on the staff of The Observer, The Independent and Granada TV's World in Action series. He has also produced a number of programmes for BBC's Timewatch and Channel 4's Dispatches series. He is the author of three books and was the UK Press Awards "Reporter of the Year" in 1986. He was a lecturer at University College Falmouth from 2001-9 and Solent University from 2007-9.
