Dr. Mawlawi received his BE in electrical engineering in 1988 from the American University of Beirut (Lebanon), his masters degree in biomedical engineering in 1990 from Polytechnic University in New York, and his PhD also in biomedical engineering in 1998 from Columbia University. Dr. Mawlawi has published over 60 peer reviewed articles and book chapters and has several grants from industry and professional societies such as Siemens Medical Solutions, GE HealthCare and the Society of Thoracic Radiology.
