Neil Woodford is a Consultant Clinical Scientist and Deputy Director of the HPA’s Antibiotic Resistance Monitoring and Reference Laboratory within the Centre for Infections, London. He received his undergraduate training in microbiology at the University of Bristol (1985) and his PhD in medical microbiology from Imperial College, London (1990). He... read moreis a Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists. Neil has published more than 200 research articles and reviews, all in the area of antibiotic resistance. He served for 10 years as an active Editor of the Journal of Antimicrobial Chemotherapy and has edited two books, “Molecular Bacteriology: protocols & clinical applications” (1998) and “Genomics, Proteomics & Clinical Bacteriology” (2004), both published by Humana Press Inc. He is currently on the Editorial Board of Microbial Drug Resistance.
