Based initially in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and subsequently in Taipei, Taiwan he was part of a small management team, which established Carat offices in thirteen markets across Asia, thus completing Carat’s global presence. Returning to the UK at the end of 2001, he worked as a Consultant on two major media centralizations, before joining Haymarket Media on a two year contract as Research Director. He then joined PPA Marketing as Planning Director, with a brief to convince agency strategic and communications planners to spend more on advertising in consumer magazines.
