Jeffrey W. Pollard is the Louis Goldstein Swan Chair in Women’s Cancer Research at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He trained at the Imperial Cancer Research Fund, UK and The Ontario Cancer Institute, Canada before taking a position at King’s College in London. In 1988 he joined the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. His research is focused in three major areas: the first studies the mechanism of action of female sex steroid hormones in the control of cell proliferation and in implantation; the second is on placental immunity; the third is upon the roles of macrophages during development and in cancer.
