Michael is Director of the Institute for Mobile Media Research and Assistant Professor of Advertising in the Department of Journalism at Ball State University at Muncie, Indiana. His research focus is mobile marketing and advertising. He is recognized as one of the
leading academic mobile marketing researchers in the USA. Michael is the Co-editor of the International Journal of Mobile Marketing, Co-chair of the Mobile Marketing Association’s Academic Outreach Committee and Co-recipient of the Mobile Marketing Association’s 2007 Award for Overall Excellence. His work in brand management, advertising, writing, marketing and photography have earned him several awards, including an international Telly Award for radio advertising and a Pulitzer Prize as a news photographer at the Fort Wayne (Ind.) News-Sentinel.
