Author's Biography

Derek A. Lackey is Managing Director of Newport Thomson and Chairman of the Response Marketing Association. Over the past four decades, he has worked with numerous major international brands, including Canon, Air Canada Vacations, Arthur Andersen & Co., Pioneer Electronics, AGFA Film, American Express Merchandise Services, and many others. Derek has an in-depth knowledge of global data protection and privacy laws, and their relevance to different industry sectors and organisational cultures. Derek was educated in marketing at the University of Toronto.
