Abstract
Business continuity professionals have traditionally focused on metrics pertaining to the number of tasks, the frequency in which they are completed, and the last time the tasks were performed. This paper suggests that it is time to elevate business continuity programmes to the next level. It describes how to set up a programme for recoverability measurement, and shares tools that can be used to measure and benchmark.

Author's Biography
Michael Harding is business continuity management (BCM) Project Leader III at Automotive Resources International. He has more than 14 years of experience in global business continuity management, most notably in the financial and insurance industries. Michael is Director of Education for the Association of Continuity Professionals Liberty Valley chapter and a member of the Adaptive Advisory Group. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from Wilmington University.
