Abstract
For decades, investment managers have been digitising information and processes, but we have only recently moved into a new era where firms are reengineering every facet of the business upon a digital foundation. This paper will explore the transformative technologies that will drive digitalisation efforts in the future, how asset managers will need to differentiate themselves in the new digital landscape and practical steps to embrace the digital frontier for organisations that are still held back by legacy technology, processes and behaviours.

Author's Biography
David Bates is managing partner for Citisoft, North America. He has nearly 20 years of consulting experience servicing the investment management industry. He has extensive experience developing operational and technology strategies, managing complex transformation initiatives, and advising leading global mutual fund complexes, institutional money managers, hedge funds, asset owners and insurance firms. David has expertise across the front, middle and back office including enterprise data management.
Paul Migliore is global chief executive officer for Citisoft. He has 30 years of experience providing investment management systems and operations consulting services to investment management firms, mutual fund complexes and insurance companies. He has extensive business and systems expertise in portfolio management, investment accounting, fund accounting and financial reporting. Prior to joining Citisoft, Paul was a partner in IBM’s US Investment Management Practice.
