Abstract
As the demographics of college campuses are changing, so must the programmes that keep alumni engaged. By better understanding the demographics, inclinations and tendencies of the millennial generation, higher education institutions will be better prepared to create authentic and engaging opportunities for connection. This paper focuses on Miami University and several of its young alumni programmes.

Author's Biography
Caroline Mcclellan is the associate director of development for Miami University’s Annual Fund. She received her BA in 2007 from Miami University and her MS from the University of Pennsylvania in 2011. Before joining the Miami family in 2012, Caroline worked in political consulting, education reform lobbying, and on several national political campaigns. Over the last four years, Caroline has had the privilege of building Miami University a student philanthropy and young alumni giving programme for which Miami has been recognised nine times by The Pride of CASE and The CASE Circle of Excellence.
