Abstract
This paper discusses the results of a study to understand the implications of the Eko Atlantic (EA) project in Lagos city. The objective of this study is to identify the benefits of the EA project in terms of infrastructure development. The findings show that the EA project can play a significant role in regenerating and reshaping Lagos urban development. EA can serve as a potential model for developing new urban areas that would reconstruct the city.

Author's Biography
Emeka Amakihe received a bachelor’s degree in sustainable coastal management from Novia University, Finland, and a master’s degree in ecohydrology from Lodz University, Poland. He is currently carrying out a series of studies on urban renewal and place branding. He is a member of the Finnish Society of Urban Planning. His interests include communicative planning, urban branding, and cultural planning.
