Biography

Prof. Rebecca L. Pratt, PhD. is a full professor in anatomical sciences in the United States. She instructs at the medical level and authors assessment questions for United States physician licensure exams. Prof. Pratt has been the recipient of numerous anatomy teaching awards along her 23 years as an educator.... read moreHighlights of her academic career include receiving the American Association of Anatomists (AAA) Keith and Marion Moore Overall Best Science Publication Award, the AAA Basmajian Award for outstanding research, leadership and teaching in the field of anatomy and two-time winner of the National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners assessment writing. Her research interests are in the anatomical continuities of the fascial system and pushing Western medicine to embrace pre- and post-surgery whole body health care.

Prof. Pratt values publishing on the fascial system in peer-reviewed international journals as well as in Women Health, Men’s Health, VOGUE and, NIKE popular magazines in the United States. Prof. Pratt has taught fascial system gross anatomy with Profs. Carla Stecco in Italy and Robert Schleip in Germany at Body Worlds. Prof. Pratt adds past President of the Fascia Research Society to her leadership circle that also includes past board membership with the AAA and American Association of Clinical Anatomy.
