Thomas Neusius is a qualified actuary specialising in health and life insurance, and lectures in Economics, Quantitative Methods and Insurance at the Wiesbaden Business School in Germany.

He gained his first work experience in the life insurance industry and spent several years coding the actuarial kernel. He then moved to the ALM department of Allianz Investment Management SE (AIM) as an actuary, where he analysed the investment strategy. He also led a project to accelerate and improve the provision of financial data upon the quarterly closing.
He is a member of the International Actuarial Association (IAA) and the German Actuarial Society (DAV), as well as several other scientific associations. He regularly serves as an expert witness in health and life insurance cases in German courts.
