Jan Huizing (MSc) is a researcher in City Hospitality and senior lecturer in Strategy and Business Transformation. He contributes to impactful, real-life learning and responsible research strategies, and endorses the RRBM (Responsible Research in Business Management) network and principles. Jan has a business background is in senior marketing, strategy and... read moremanagement positions at leading international service providers, such as ANWB and ADP. His research interest is welcoming and value-creating cities and communities, positively impacting business and society. Research questions include how hospitality and tourism can play a pivotal role with and for local community stakeholders. He published a teaching case on The Social Hub, exploring hotel community engagement strategies in the Journal of Hospitality & Tourism Cases. Jan co-founded and developed the City Hosts scheme in The Hague, which gained international attention and follow-up. His strategy interest include practical solutions and critical forward thinking.
