His research focuses on molecular and cell-biological mechanisms that support pancreatic beta-cell survival and expansion under secretory pathway stress, with the aim of developing therapies—including small-molecule interventions—to enhance insulin production and mitigate the severity of type 1A and type 1B diabetes.
