Professor Neil Barclay retired in 2015 as the EP Abraham Professor of Chemical Pathology in the Sir William Dunn School of Pathology, University of Oxford where for many years he had run a group working on the biochemistry of membrane proteins on the lymphocyte cell surface. His interests focused on... read morethe structure and interactions of these proteins and their functional outcomes. Recent work focussed on the SIRP family and CD47, CD200, and its receptors. Neil has an interest in making good monoclonal antibodies available for research and is currently chairman of Absolute Antibody which makes only recombinant antibodies.
