Professor Das is a distinguished scientist with an extensive academic background that bridges Science and Engineering. Currently, Prof. Das’s research focuses on innovative microbial genome engineering strategies aimed at understanding specific proteins and peptides, and developing peptide-based drugs that target regions of the human gastrointestinal tract. His lab holds a diverse collection of microbial taxa associated with gastroenteritis, sepsis, and both term and preterm birth.
