She is a practicing Acute Care Nurse Practitioner at the Miami Transplant Institute/Jackson Memorial Hospital’s thoracic intensive care unit, managing patients on ECMO awaiting lung transplantation, the cardiovascular intensive care unit, managing patients on mechanical circulatory support devices awaiting heart transplantation, and in the surgical intensive care unit, managing postoperative liver, multivisceral, and kidney transplant patients. She is an international speaker on an array of topics from the care of patients with ECMO and hemodynamic monitoring, to novel teaching strategies.
