Ms. Mmatšatši Ramawela is a highly accomplished and esteemed business executive who is an energetic, passionate, and inspiring advocate of the tourism and hospitality sector. Born and raised in South Africa, Ms. Ramawela has a remarkable career spanning over 30 years in the dynamic travel and tourism sector, working both... read morein the public and private sectors. Highlights of her career include serving as CEO of the Tourism Business Council of South Africa, and organising/hosting the Hospitality Investment Conference Africa (HICA) for 10 years, and the South African Travel and Tourism Summit (SATTIC), which brought together travel and tourism public and private sector stakeholders in South Africa. She is a director of several organisations including her own Travel and Events Management company called Africa Tourism Connect, and Gecko Afrika Holdings. Ms Ramawela serves as the President of the International institute for Peace through Tourism Southern Africa chapter (IIPTSA). She is also a speaker, and a moderator/facilitator of discussions, having participated in leading events such as the Africa Hotel investment Forum (AHIF), and Africa Property Investment Summit (API). Ms. Ramawela holds a Master’s degree in Leadership in Emerging Economies from the University of Johannesburg and is currently completing a PhD in Business Management at the University of Pretoria. With such experience and academic achievements, Ms. Ramawela has a wealth of experience and expertise in business management.
