Professor Susan Wong is currently Professor of Experimental Diabetes and Metabolism at Cardiff University and Honorary Consultant Physician in Diabetes at the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff. She has also been involved in translational work in supporting immunotherapy for type 1 diabetes in early phase 1a clinical trials. She has over many years of clinical experience in treatment of all aspects of diabetes mellitus, with a particular focus treatment and care of individuals with type 1 diabetes, and cystic fibrosis related diabetes. She is actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate education as well as patient education programs in diabetes.
