Biography

Dr. Fuller serves as a Therapeutic Area Leader for Infectious Disease at Merck Research Laboratories in West Point, Pennsylvania, USA. Dr. Fuller completed her PhD in Viral Immunology at the University of Virginia. She completed postdoctoral work at the University of Texas Medical Branch and National Cancer Institute - National... read moreInstitutes of Health, focusing on molecular immunology. During her postdoctoral work, she had the opportunity to teach at Baylor College of Medicine and Johns Hopkins University Graduate School.

Dr. Fuller was a Staff Scientist at the US Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Disease where she worked on biothreat detection and the immune response to Ebola and F. tularensis. At Merck, Dr. Fuller initially focused on the development of immuno-oncology biologics. She is the co-chair of the ImmunoTox and Biologics Advisory Council that provides expert opinion to all stages of drug discovery and development programs at Merck. As Therapeutic Area Leader, she is responsible for overseeing the nonclinical development of antibacterial and antifungal programs within the Infectious Disease Therapy Area at Merck.
