Simon McLean is a Chartered Building Surveyor, having entered academia from practice in 2000. He is the programme director for the building surveying course at UoS. Additionally, he is the editor of the Journal of Building Surveying Appraisal and Valuation, published by Henry Stewart Publications, and edits the RICS Isurv... read moresection which covers building surveying practice, “Being a Successful Surveyor”. Simon has a BSc in Construction Management from Leeds Metropolitan University, and an MA in Conservation of Historic Buildings from the University of York.
