Dr Reza Salek was awarded his PhD in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry from University College London, UK. He has worked as research associate at the University of Cambridge, Scientific Investigator at the Medical Research Council in Cambridge... read moreand as Scientific Coordinator EMBL-EBI, UK. In the past, he has managed and coordinated large infrastructure projects on metabolomics data sharing, data analysis and involved in the development of open data standards formats though international and cross-domain efforts. He was involved in setting up and development of EMBL-EBI MetaboLights, the first metabolomics data sharing platform and particularly in setting up it curation efforts. As part of the PhenoMeNal project, he was involved in the collective development of Galaxy workflows for metabolomics data analysis on Cloud Compute Infrastructures. He is on the board of the directors of The International Metabolomics Society and chairing the Metabolomics Society Data Standards Task group. From 2018, He moved to IARC, France where setting up large-scale metabolomics data handling and data analysis for metabolic knowledge discovery.
