Biography

Dr. Anthony Hickey is a Distinguished Fellow and a program director in inhaled therapeutics at the Center for Aerosol and Nanomaterials Engineering at the Research Triangle Institute (RTI). His current research relates to pulmonary drug and vaccine delivery for tuberculosis treatment and therapy. Dr. Hickey is a fellow of the UK Society of Biology, the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists, and the American Association for the Advancement of Science. He has published numerous papers and chapters in the pharmaceutical and biomedical literature, one of which received the AAPS Meritorious Manuscript Award in 2001. He has edited five texts on pharmaceutical inhalation aerosols and coauthored others on pharmaceutical process engineering, particulate science, and pharmacocomplexity.
