Dr Nathan Brown is a Group Leader at The Institute of Cancer Research, London, having founded the group in 2007. Prior to this, Dr Brown was a Presidential Research Fellow at the Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research in Basel, and a Marie Curie Research Fellow at Avantium Technologies in Amsterdam.... read moreDr Brown has conducted doctoral and postdoctoral research with Prof. Peter Willett in Sheffield and Prof. Johann Gasteiger in Erlangen, two of the global leaders in the field. Dr Brown has a wide-ranging interest in computational methods for drug design, including the recognised pioneering work in multiobjective de novo molecular design, development of new molecular descriptors, the interface of chemistry and biology, and molecular library design. Dr Brown is a scientific advisor to Molomics Biotech on drug design; serves on the executive committees of the RSC Chemical Information and Computer Applications Group and The UK-QSAR & Chemoinformatics Group; and is a member of the International Advisory Board of ChemMedChem.
