Simon Samuels retired from his role as a Managing Director at Barclays, based in London, in October 2014. Simon now provides consultancy services to leading banks, is a Senior Advisor to Boston Consulting Group, is a Senior Fellow at Cass Business School and is a member of the Financial Stability Board Task Force examining bank financial reporting. He is a former member of the World Economic Forum group examining deleveraging trends globally. Simon has presented frequently to regulators and governments around the world, at major industry conferences and regularly publishes articles covering topics such as risk and capital.

Prior to Citigroup he worked at Dresdner Kleinwort Benson, Merrill Lynch and M&G. Prior to that he qualified as a Chartered Accountant at PricewaterhouseCoopers and holds a BSc in Economics from the London School of Economics.
