Donna Dickenson (BA, MSc, PhD) is Emeritus Professor of Medical Ethics and Humanities at the University of London, Research Associate at the University of Oxford, and Visiting Fellow at the University of Bristol. Over a forty-year career in academia, she has published more than twenty books and ninety refereed articles... read moreor book chapters in the field of medical ethics and medical law. In 2006 she became the first woman to win the International Spinoza Lens Award for her contribution to public debate on ethics. Dickenson is best known for her work on commodification of the body, particularly Property in the Body: Feminist Perspectives (2007) and Body Shopping: Converting Body Parts to Profit (2009). Her most recent book is Me Medicine vs. We Medicine: Reclaiming Biotechnology or the Common Good.
