Biography

Dr Peter Atorough is lecturer of operations, project and supply chain management, and module coordinator for undergraduate operations management and postgraduate supply chain management at the Robert Gordon University. He is also a Visiting Lecturer with Laureate Online Universities where he teaches on various courses, including the MSc Project Management.... read morePrior to joining the Business School in 2008, Peter enjoyed a successful career as an investment and corporate banker specialising initially in oil and gas corporate investment solutions, before moving on to business development with the then Abbey Bank Plc. More recently, Peter was the project manager and main researcher for the Knowledge Transfer Partnership between Robert Gordon University and Aberdeen and Grampian Chamber of Commerce, during which time he undertook sector based research and business process mapping to provide a tool for evidence-based decision making for businesses in North-east Scotland (with special focus on realising regional benefits from Energy and Oil and Gas wealth). Peter's current research interests are focused on exploring the interactions between operations, supply chains and markets.
