Dr. Orgill grew up in California and attended UC Berkeley where he majored in Bioengineering. He then came to Cambridge where he attended MIT as a graduate student in Mechanical and Medical Engineering. He is the Vice Chairman for Quality Improvement in the Department of Surgery at BWH. He has a busy practice in reconstructive plastic surgery, and runs the Tissue Engineering and Wound Healing Laboratory at BWH. He has research interests in the application of mechanical forces to improve wound healing and tissue regeneration.
