Don received undergraduate and Master’s degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and received his Ph.D. in accounting from the Florida State University in 1992. He has taught courses in financial accounting at... read morethe undergraduate level, as well as financial strategy and financial analysis courses at the MBA level. His research interests are in the area of risk management and forecasting. His research has appeared in Journal of Accounting Research, Contemporary Accounting Research and Journal of Accounting, Auditing and Finance. Don is currently a research faculty fellow with the Enterprise Risk Management Initiative at NC State. His current projects examine the long-term performance of companies adopting enterprise risk management programs, ERM’s effect on M&A activity in the financial industry and reputational risk.
