Dr. Tony Ip received his BS from the National Defense Medical Center, Taipei, ROC in 1984 and his PhD from the University of Iowa in 1989. In 1994,... read morehe joined the University of Massachusetts Medical School faculty. He was a recipient of a Scholar Award of the Leukemia Society of America in 1996-2001. He is currently a Professor of Molecular Medicine at UMMS. His research interest is the mechanism of stem cell-mediated regeneration in adult tissues, using the genetic model organism Drosophila to identify conserved regulatory networks that control regeneration in the adult intestine.
