Rosemary Barnes is Professor of Medical Microbiology in the Department of Medical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases within the Institute of Infection and Immunity at the School of Medicine at Cardiff University. She is currently president of the British Society of Medical Mycology and Chair of the UK Clinical Mycology Network. She is a founding member of the European Aspergillus PCR Initiative Working Group of the International Society for Human and Animal Mycology and a board member of the foundation European Aspergillus PCR initiative. Finally, she is a member of the Steering Group of the NISCHR funded Microbiology and Translational Infection Research Group.
