Thomas J. Webster is the Professor and Department Chair of Chemical Engineering at Northeastern University. His degrees are in chemical engineering from the University of Pittsburgh (BS, 1995) and in biomedical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (MS, 1997; PhD, 2000). Prof. Webster's research addresses the design, synthesis and evaluation of... read morenanophase materials as more effective biomedical implants. Prof. Webster is the current director of the Nanomedicine Laboratory and has completed extensive studies on the use of nanophase materials as implanted materials. He has received many honors, including being elected as a fellow of AIBME (awarded to less than 2% of all biomedical engineers), BMES, AANM, and others.
