Biography

Les Watson is a freelance educational consultant on Library, Learning and IT development. He is a Visiting Professor of Learning Environment Development at the University of Lincoln in the UK and has worked in education for over 35 years as a school teacher, lecturer, Dean and Pro Vice Chancellor. Les... read morehas managed libraries and information services in several organizations and has considerable experience of library development creating the Learning Cafe, REAL@Caledonian, in 2001, the award winning Saltire Centre in 2006, tlc@bedford for Royal Holloway University of London in 2008 and the refurbishment of Fountains at York St. John University in 2011. He has been a member of the Board of the Joint Information Systems Committee and also a consultant to the JISC on virtual and physical learning spaces. Les was the lead consultant on the development of the web based resource 'Planning and Designing Technology Rich Learning Spaces' in 2007 and produced a report on the management of open plan technology rich space for the JISC in 2008.
